Q: Can I drop my dog off for the day while I’m touring the area? A: Yes, We will watch your pet for the day, or just the afternoon as long as its within our business hours. The rate would apply the same as for our regular staying guest, which is $22.00 (+GST) per calendar day.
Q: Will my Dog get to play with other Dogs? A:Yes, As long as you agree with the Socialization section in our boarding waiver and we have another dog(s) of similar energy, temperament, size, and playfulness as your dog. Safety is our top priority so socialization is at the sole discretion of the staff and management of Jurassic Bark Pet Resort.
Q: Can I Bring my dogs bed and toys from home? A: We provide raised chew-proof Kuranda dog beds to all of our guests so no need to bring your bed from home. We do not want our guests to destroy or ingest any foreign objects so please leave the toys at home. Better safe than sorry.
Q: Is my dog in their run the whole time during their stay? A: Not at all. We have a 20,000 Sqft., fully-enclosed outdoor play area that our guests get to enjoy. Every dog’s needs are unique, so length of play, times per day and activities will vary depending on our guests’ needs and is also dependant on the current weather conditions.
Q: Will my dog be locked in at night? A: Your dog will have their own indoor/outdoor run allowing them 24-hour access to be inside or outside as they please. Only in extreme cases like severe Thunderstorms or Frigid Cold do we lock our guests inside.
Q: My pet is on medication, can you give it to them? A: We can administer all types of medication. Please be sure to bring detailed instructions and more medication than the planned stay just in case you get delayed on pickup.
Q: Does it cost extra for medication? A: We do not charge extra to administer medication to your pet. From puppy/kitten to senior pets, we will not charge extra based on health issues.
Q: Could my dog get a bath before we pick up? A: Baths are available by request for $20.00(+GST). Keep in mind we are not professional groomers so complex coats would be best done by a professional.
Q: I forgot food; do you have food to give? A: Yes, we can supply food for your pet for an extra $2.00(+GST) for daily dry food or $3.00(+GST) per lb. of raw dog food.
Q: Do you require a deposit for booking? A: Currently, we are not requesting a deposit for bookings at this time. We may request a $50.00 deposit for reservations over the Christmas holiday dates of December 24th -Dec 27, but will let you know upon booking. All other reservations do not require a deposit at this time.
Q: My plans have changed, what’s the cancellation policy? A: All we ask is that you let us know as soon as you can. We understand that things can change. Please just call, text, email, or send a Facebook Message to let us know you need to cancel or change your plans.
Q: We got home a day early, can we come get out pet? A: Absolutely, we ask that you let us know if you are coming on a different day than is scheduled. You can call, text, email or send a Facebook message. We may not respond outside of business hours but will receive the message and respond as soon as we can. We know you are missing your pets or plans change, so we will not charge you for the extra days booked when this occurs.
Q: We won’t make it back on the day we said we would pick up. What do we do? A: No Problem! Please call, text, email, or send a Facebook message to let us know. We will try to accommodate any situation. Per calendar day rate will be added on to your bill for additional days.
Q: I need to pick-up/drop-off outside your regular business hours, Is this possible? A: Yes we do offer outside of hours drop offs or pickups if required. Outside of hour pickups and drop offs are a charge of $50.00(+GST) for this service and we request you let us know at time of booking that this will be required.
Q: What is Bordetella (Kennel Cough)? A: As per the AKC, “Kennel Cough” (also known as canine infectious tracheobronchitis) is a highly contagious respiratory disease. Dogs commonly contract kennel cough at places where large amounts of canines congregate, such as boarding and daycare facilities, dog parks, training groups, and dog shows. Dogs can spread it to one another through airborne droplets, direct contact (e.g., touching noses), or contaminated surfaces (including water/food bowls). It’s highly treatable in most dogs but can be more severe in puppies younger than six months of age and immunocompromised dogs.
Q: Will my cat get to play with other cats? A: We do not socialize cats. All our feline guests will get time out of the their condo to enjoy our cat room. Only cats from the same family or friends (with permission from both owners) will play together.
